Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-70

Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-70 replaces Executive Order 2020-59 and allows additional industries to begin reopening in-person operations on May 7, 2020. Those industries include:

– work that is primarily outdoors (including foresters, power equipment technicians, and parking enforcement workers)

-work in the construction industry generally, including building trades (plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.), subject to enhanced social distancing requirements

-work in the real estate industry, including agents, appraisers, brokers, inspectors, surveyors, and registers of deeds, provided that in person activity (showings, inspections, appraisals, etc.) are limited to 4 people and by appointment only

-work necessary to manufacture goods supporting workplace modification to slow the spread of COVID-19
